Cutting PowerPoint Presentations & Course Companions

How to Use These Teaching Resources

To deliver the most engaging and effective sessions, please review the guidance below on combining the PowerPoint presentations with the learner Course Companions.

• Review Presentations in Advance: Each PowerPoint is structured with visual cues and concise text prompts designed to trigger group discussion. Take time to look through each presentation prior to delivery to align your teaching narrative with the slide prompts.

• Integrate the Course Companion: Issue the accompanying Course Companion to your learners at the start of the topic. While the slides highlight core points for group debate, the companion provides the deeper technical knowledge needed to support the lesson.

• Utilise Notes & Discussion Space: The Course Companion features dedicated note-taking areas. Encourage your learners to jot down additional insights, practical tips, and key takeaways that surface during your group discussions.

• Consolidate Learning: Every companion includes built-in recap activities and multiple-choice assessment questions. Use these at key checkpoints or at the end of a unit to evaluate learner understanding and reinforce essential concepts.
